Mechanical Engineer (Hybrid – Full-time, R&D Project)

Location: Hybrid | Type: Full-time

We're developing a confidential R&D project in the field of fire protection and advanced systems and are seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer who combines strong technical expertise with hands-on problem-solving. This role is ideal for someone with several years of experience who can work independently on defined work packages while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Role Overview

You'll be responsible for design, analysis, and prototyping, playing a central role in shaping future industrial-grade products. The role requires a balance of analytical design work (with a strong emphasis on FEA) and practical, hands-on experience in prototype development and manufacturing.

Core Responsibilities

· Execute mechanical design and CAD modeling (SolidWorks).

· Perform FEA analysis to validate and optimize designs.

· Undertake work packages independently, from concept through to delivery.

· Support prototype manufacturing and contribute to design decisions for future industrial-grade products.

· Prepare technical documentation and reports.

· Collaborate with other engineers across disciplines to integrate solutions.

Candidate Profile

· MSc (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.

· 3+ years of industrial experience in mechanical design and development.

· Proficiency with SolidWorks and strong command of FEA analysis.

· Proven hands-on experience in prototyping and manufacturing.

· Self-motivated, capable of working independently and responsibly on defined tasks.

· Attention to detail and determination to deliver high-quality results.

· Curious, adaptable, and eager to contribute to an innovative R&D environment.

Nice to Have

· Experience with hands-on manufacturing techniques (milling, turning, etc.).

· Experience in producing high-quality documentation (assembly manuals, technical guides, etc.).

· Exposure to CFD analysis in an academic and/or industrial setting.

· Track record as a key contributor (MVP) in teams that have delivered real-world products.
