We are Intelligen Inc., a US-based software company, leading supplier of simulation and design tools for the process industries, with presence and customers all over the world. We recently released our new product: a greenfield, cloud-native, production scheduling application for the web, available for both SaaS and on-premises deployments. In order to expand the scope of the new application, we seek to hire for our Thessaloniki office, with the option for remote working, a person for the following, mid- to senior- level position:

Scheduling Algorithm Specialist / Back End Developer

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop

Scheduling algorithms in the application domain

Infrastructure functionality in the application back end

Data manipulation functionality for interfacing with the application front end

  • Work with development team and/or users to continuously improve our products

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or in
    a related technical field
  • Demonstrated experience with algorithm design and development
  • Deep understanding of algorithmic complexity and algorithm coding practices
  • Good understanding of scheduling problems
  • Fluency in C# or similar high-level languages

Preferred Experience

  • Scheduling problem solving techniques (e.g. mathematical optimization, constraint logic programming, etc.)
  • ORM tools and RDBMSs, preferably Entity Framework and SQL Server
  • NET Core, Web API
  • Unit/Functional Testing

Personal

  • Good oral/written communication in English
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work with a geographically diverse team
