Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Network & System Administrator to join our client's IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in network administration and IT, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a good understanding of network security principles. This role will involve supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting the organization's network and systems to ensure optimal performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Assist in setting up and configuring network devices and systems, ensuring smooth integration with existing network infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to maintain high availability and performance.
• Support the IT team in maintaining and optimizing server environments, including performing system updates, backups, and ensuring uptime.
• Implement and enforce network security measures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other potential vulnerabilities.
• Assist in maintaining and improving the network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and network segmentation.
• Respond to and resolve network incidents and service requests in a timely manner.
• Participate in troubleshooting and resolving system and network outages.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in network administration and IT.
• Proficient in troubleshooting network issues, diagnosing hardware and software problems, and resolving them efficiently.
• Solid understanding of network security principles, best practices, and tools (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, encryption).
• Familiarity with common network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.) and network management tools.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or other IT/networking certifications are a plus.
• Experience with server operating systems (Linux, Windows Server, etc.) and virtual environments is advantageous.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and network monitoring tools is a plus.
