Intellectica is recruiting an experienced
Site Civil Engineer
on behalf of a Group of companies providing tailor-made consulting services, delivery of high-tech products and construction of all kinds of Real Estate and/or RES projects. Currently, the company is actively involved in Public-Private Partnership contracts, public works, private equity developments, real estate management of its own portfolio and consulting services in the Defense and Security Industry. Based in Thessaloniki, Greece, the successful candidate will play a key role monitoring, coordinating and supporting the implementation of key local engineering projects.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

Supervision and Management:

  • Oversee construction activities, ensuring that work is carried out according to plans, specifications, and safety standards
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, laborers, and other site workers, providing instructions and guidance as needed

Quality Control:

  • Conduct regular inspections of ongoing work to ensure quality and adherence to plans
  • Identify any defects or issues and take corrective actions promptly
  • Ensure materials used meet the required standards and specifications

Safety Management:

  • Enforce health and safety regulations on-site, conducting safety briefings and ensuring workers wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

Liaison with Stakeholders:

  • Communicate regularly with project managers, architects, and clients to provide updates on progress and address any concerns
  • Attend site meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions with the project team

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including work completed, materials used, and any issues encountered
  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports to project managers and clients.
  • Document any changes or deviations from the original plan and obtain necessary approvals.

Problem Solving and Decision Making

  • Address any on-site issues promptly, whether they involve technical problems, resource shortages, or interpersonal conflicts
  • Make quick, informed decisions to keep the project on track
  • Any other task that may be required from time to time

Professional experience & qualifications of a successful candidate:

  • BSc in Civil Engineering; MSc or certifications in relevant areas will be highly welcomed
  • At least 3 years of field experience in the construction industry
  • Knowledge of Project Management tools, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite
  • Fluent in English and Greek (both written and verbal)
