Title:
Legal Costs Controller

Closely collaborating with : Accounting and Finance

Tasks

  • Checks system for the proper activities related to legal action uploading/input.
  • Checks the realized legal actions vs the approved ones.
  • Checks legal actions invoices according to relevant process and all supporting documentation.
  • Communicates with the inhouse or externally associated lawyers, bailiffs, Notaries etc in case any clarifications and/or corrective actions related to legal actions invoicing need to take place.
  • Updates data files for the company and the Investors related to legal actions and/or financial information related to collaterals.
  • Delivers to Accounting and Finance the invoices and supporting documentation related to legal actions.
  • Collaborates with other members of Legal Operations Department on the forecast and budget of legal actions and other financial aspects related to legal actions (i.e cost allocations).
  • Handles the applications to banks for the issuance of Letters of Guaranty related to auction proceeds collection and updates related data files and system.
  • Collaborates with other Legal Operations Department members and/or other Departments regarding proper data depiction of legal costs per claim. and portfolio owned by the Investors and potential charge of legal actions costs, transactions depiction in system (i.e credits, debits, reverse charges).

Needs To Have

  • Finance or Accounting related degree.
  • Min 10 years experience related to legal actions invoicing.
  • Strong knowledge of banking and Servicing industry.
