Internal and external candidates will be considered for this vacancy. Context
In close collaboration with national and local authorities and experienced Partners, in the context of the project
'Helios+: Comprehensive actions for the integration of third-country nationals into the labour market'
in the Region of Attica" with
MIS Code
under the Programme "Attica 2021–2027", IOM aims at promoting the integration of beneficiaries of international protection and temporary protection into the Greek society through activities for employability support, the provision of Greek language courses and vocational training, the support for independent living, including rental subsidies, activities promoting social cohesion and inclusion.
Responsibilities
Under the overall supervision of the Project Team Lead (Independent Living)and the direct supervision of the Project Assistant (Independent Living), the successful candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Regularly visit the designated Reception Facilities to ρresent the project to the beneficiaries through comprehensive information sessions and enroll them in it, if eligible.
- Coordinate with RIS and other relevant stakeholders operating on-site concerning the schedule of the visits and the messaging to the beneficiaries.
- Ensure that the messaging to beneficiaries is clearly communicated.
- Assist the beneficiaries in their search for apartments and administrative pre-requirements, depending on needs.
- Execute apartment monitoring visits, via videocall or in person, in the designated area of responsibility.
- Provide timely reports and any other necessary information to the Project Assistant (Independent Living) and relevant departments.
- Collect data and Means of Verification of the Independent Living component of the project.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Education
- High school diploma/ certificate with minimum three years of relevant work experience, or;
- University degree from an accredited academic institution with minimum one year of work experience.
- Master's degree will be considered an advantage.
Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.
Experience
- At least one year of previous work experience;
- Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment preferred.
Skills
- Possess adequate combination of knowledge, education, training experience and skills to perform essential functions of the position;
- Computer literacy in standard software applications;
- Strong work ethics and commitment to humanitarian principles;
- Valid driver's license with a minimum of five years of driving experience is mandatory for this position.
Languages
- Fluency in English and Greek (written and oral) is required.
IOM's official languages are English, French and Spanish.
Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.
