Our partner, a fast-growing Greek IoT company, is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join their operations and field support team. The ideal candidate will support hardware devices and platform functionality, ensuring smooth integration and reliable operation of our smart infrastructure solutions — such as smart waste management, fleet tracking, and sensor networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for IoT devices and connectivity issues (GSM, APNs, signal quality, diagnostics)
  • Configure, install, and test smart devices and their integration with cloud platforms
  • Monitor system health and proactively identify root causes of hardware and software malfunctions
  • Collaborate with R&D and field engineers to resolve technical issues in the lab or on-site
  • Document and manage incidents using internal tools or ticketing platforms
  • Participate in hardware testing, firmware updates, and pilot rollouts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Electronics, or related engineering/technical field
  • 1–2 years of experience in hardware support, embedded systems, or IoT environments
  • Familiarity with physical diagnostics: signal, wiring, connectivity, sensor behavior
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and databases
  • Strong communication skills in both Greek and English (written and verbal)
  • Comfortable collaborating across teams and speaking directly with clients or partners
  • Driving license (optional but preferred – occasional field visits may be required)

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in smart city, IoT, or embedded device deployment
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools, firmware flashing, or Linux-based environments
  • Basic scripting experience (e.g. Bash or Python)
