IT Quality Assurance Lead
in Athens to work with our clients in the
European public sector
.

As an
IT Quality Assurance Lead
, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of IT projects by embedding quality at every stage of the lifecycle.

Your role:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance strategy for IT projects, ensuring adherence to EC standards and best practices.
• Establish and maintain quality control processes to identify and address defects and deviations throughout the delivery life cycle.
• Continuously assess and enhance existing processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, implement corrective actions, and monitor the impact on overall quality.
• Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in IT processes and systems.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies and work with project teams to integrate risk management into the project life cycle.
• Define/Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics to measure the success of IT projects.
• Generate regular reports for management, highlighting quality trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with defined policies, EC/industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to address findings and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the awareness of quality standards and best practices among IT teams.
• Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement across IT teams.
• Evaluate and monitor the quality of deliverables from other service providers.

Your profile:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in quality assurance methodologies, processes, and tools.
• Certification in quality management (e.g., Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma).
• 7+ years of experience in IT project/programme management.
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale IT programmes.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMI, Agile, SAFe).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in tools such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence, or Smartsheet.
• Ability to manage budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards in IT (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 20001, CMMI, GDPR).
• Leadership skills to inspire and guide a team toward achieving quality objectives.
• You must be eligible for EU Security Clearance (at least 5 years of EU nationality in required).

*This role may require flexibility, including shift-based work and on-call responsibilities, depending on operational needs.
