As the QA Team Leader, you will drive the establishment and application of testing methodologies geared mainly towards automated testing while ensuring that software deliverables meet specifications, requirements, and quality standards across a range of software products developed by OPAP's internal Software Development Team.
Your day to day will include:
• Leading and mentoring the quality assurance automation team, fostering technical growth, accountability and achievement of set goals
• Collaborating with core Development and DevOps teams to verify the final quality of the deliverables
• Reviewing system specifications and application functionalities to identify testing strategy and testing needs
• Creating and executing test plans, scenarios, and cases, collaborating with internal teams or third-party providers
• Designing and enhancing testing frameworks, selecting appropriate tools for various testing types (e.g., web, mobile, performance), and implementing automation frameworks
• Maintaining and enriching existing test scripts/regression suites
• Creating, enhancing, debugging, and executing automated test cases
• Planning and conducting regression, performance, and stress testing for system scalability and efficiency
• Recording test results and software defects, communicating them to the respective stakeholders, and making recommendations for further improvements
• Supporting new applications/systems deployment with smoke tests and post-launch incident management
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices
What you need to succeed:
• BSc in Computer Engineering / Science, Information Systems Management, or a relevant field. MSc in a relevant topic
• 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• In-depth knowledge of QA concepts, methodologies, and industry-standard tools; ISTQB or similar certifications are a plus
• Hands-on experience in automation testing and development, with advanced skills in UI automation (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress)
• Experience in testing at API level (e.g., using Postman, Newman, REST Assured, etc.) at an intermediate level
• Experience with load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, etc.) and CI/CD pipelines at an advanced level
• Experience with cloud-based testing environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Proficiency in JavaScript and/or Java, with familiarity in JIRA, Confluence, and GitLab
• Working experience with Agile methodology
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, and collaborate across all levels of the organization
