Job Description

Your day as a Quality Assurance Tester

As a QA Tester, you will work within the Retail Business Systems team, to develop testing solutions, improve testing processes and ensure code is production ready. Your primary activities include, manual test process, and assisting with the maintenance of existing automation tests.

You will need to:

  • Write and maintain test cases and scripts for our software solutions.
  • Perform manual feature testing as part of our SDLC
  • Perform regression testing using our automated test suite
  • Support the maintenance and run automation tests for Web Services, APIs, and client applications
  • Collaborate with team members to manage a list of defects and defect prioritisation
  • Provide analysis of test results and ensure appropriate reporting of product quality is maintained.
  • Working closely with developers to develop required automation hooks and solutions to optimise your test plans
  • Collaborating with the test and development team to establish testing strategies

Operational Management

  • Support and maintain a testing framework;
  • Compile test plans;
  • Support the development of automation test scripts;
  • Support the implementation of regression testing practices;
  • Conduct manual testing as required;
  • Maintain automation testing processes during the product development life cycle;
  • Promote a customer-centric attitude;
  • Ensure that we build and maintain strong, supportive and positive relationships with all customers;

Necessary Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years testing with some automation experience knowledge being advantageous
  • Experience working with Atlassian products, such as Jira
  • Experience test technologies such as Selenium, Cucumber is ideal but not required
  • Experience working within Agile Environment
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Creative problem-solving skills & an analytical mindset
  • Ability to multi-task, high attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team, to ensure that common goals are achieved.
