We are looking for a Quality Assurance & Control Manager (QA/QC)
Our client is a production company, part of a multinational group, which operates within the field of premium food products.
The Quality Assurance & Control Manager will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and effectiveness of all quality and food safety processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
This role involves leading the QA/QC team, managing audits, inspections, and corrective actions, and continuously improving quality management practices across the organization.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinator of the food safety team (comprising Quality Inspectors).
- Conducts the inspections required by the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) and records the results in the FSMS forms.
- Monitors the temperatures of the refrigeration chambers.
- Collects the daily completed production forms the following day, checks, and archives them.
- Checks the implementation and effectiveness of the cleaning and disinfection program in processing and storage areas, as well as in refrigerators.
- Provides instructions and updates to the cleaning team on the use of approved cleaning and disinfection materials and ensures that the doses comply with the cleaning-disinfection program.
- Attends the receipt of sensitive raw materials for quality control purposes.
- Conducts sampling for quality control analyses of raw materials, intermediate, and final products.
- Occasionally attends the loading of vehicles of partners and conducts on-site inspections.
- Responsible for drafting procedures, work instructions, and quality forms related to the production of safe food.
- Informs employees about the company's quality policy, quality objectives, and their role in achieving them.
- Maintains a file with all documents related to the analyses of final products, intermediate raw materials, in accordance with the quality plan.
- Keeps a file with legislation and guidelines related to the safety of produced foods.
- Monitors and manages non-conforming products & raw materials.
- Checks the proper implementation of the cleaning and pest control programs, of hygiene instructions for employees and of material and product handling instructions during their stay and use within the company.
- Monitors the management of critical control points (CCPs) and relevant corrective actions in case of deviations.
- Monitors actions related to the management of non-conformities.
- Coordinates the drafting of Corrective Action Requests.
- Monitors the implementation of corrective - preventive actions.
- Identifies problems or areas for improvement.
- Investigates deviations.
- Participates in internal audits.
- Evaluates whether the company's employees are adequately trained to meet the specific requirements of the tasks assigned to them and decides whether additional training is necessary (if required).
- Manages the planning of staff training according to HACCP.
- Responsible for drafting and implementing all procedures and instructions related to the operation of the HACCP system.
- Activates corrective and preventive actions for the revision of the current study.
- Maintains Supplier Files (quality certificates, product quality declarations).
- Participates in the product design process.
- Responsible for evaluating the risk of fraud or adulteration, as well as the overall authenticity of the supplied materials and final product, including the food defence plan.
- Responsible for evaluating the results of pest management and organizing and conducting any necessary corrective actions.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- At least 5 years of experience in a quality assurance or quality control position in the food industry or a related industry.
- Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Technology, or related fields.
- A postgraduate degree or certification in Quality Assurance or Food Safety will be considered an additional qualification.
- Experience in team management and project coordination.
- Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO

- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent knowledge of Greek and English.
- Ability to use quality management systems and related software.
