We are seeking an innovative and highly motivated "Business Development Senior Specialist
"
to join our team.

Role

The Business Development Senior Specialist will be placed in the Business Development Division of doValue Greece, reporting to the Chief Business Development Officer. He/She will support the exploration, design and incubation of innovative new business initiatives from the initial concept to implementation setup with the ultimate objective to contribute to our target of revenue/EBITDA diversification

Key responsibilities

• Conduct desktop market research and analysis to identify and assess trends, customer needs, innovative business models and respective players relevant to the themes/ assigned cases, synthesize findings to insights and/or actionable recommendations in structured and concise write-ups for management audiences
• Maintain a pipeline of innovative business development initiatives, prioritizing and evaluating them based on feasibility, business impact, and strategic alignment with doValue's objectives in cooperation with relevant functional areas, report bi-weekly on their status
• Drive opportunity assessments and business case development for assigned cases, incl. numerical analysis and modelling (Excel) as well as preparing structured business presentations
• Lead project management of assigned cases during the exploration and design phases in close cooperation with involved business areas (issue analysis, action planning, follow-up and reporting)
• Assess implementation requirements, i.e. technology, resources, investments, partnerships in cooperation with relevant functional areas
• Coordinate PoC/market experiments (in-house or with external partners)
• Identify and cultivate a network of partners (e.g., fintechs) to identify partnership opportunities

Professional Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Economics/Business  (MBA or equivalent advanced degree will be considered an asset)
• 6+ yrs proven project management experience, ideally in strategy/new product/service development, gained either at a blue-chip corporate/ management consulting/ startup environment within the financial services industry
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills; ability to think strategically and creatively; analyze issues but also synthesize solution proposals and action plans; comfortable with numerical work
• A well-organized self-starter
• Strong research skills (primary, secondary) with a focus on deliverables
• Experience in cross-functional team working
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within deadlines.

Core Competencies & Knowledge

• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
• Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills, familiarity with AI tool prompting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Greek and in English
• Top interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders
• Familiarity with the latest trends and technologies in the banking industry
