Our partner
, a fast-growing Greek IoT company, is looking for a
Technical Support Engineer
to join their operations and field support team. The ideal candidate will support hardware devices and platform functionality, ensuring smooth integration and reliable operation of our smart infrastructure solutions — such as smart waste management, fleet tracking, and sensor networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide phone- or mail-based
    1st Level Support
    to end customers and partners
  • Offer
    instructions and technical guidance
    to end users
  • Perform
    technical administration
    and manage incidents using internal tools or ticketing platforms
  • Provide
    technical support
    for IoT devices and connectivity issues (GSM, APNs, signal quality, diagnostics)
  • Configure and test
    IoT devices and integrate them with cloud platforms
  • Support the
    Order-to-Delivery lifecycle
    (parameterization, technical installations, training)
  • Provide
    2nd Level Support
    and troubleshoot complex issues
  • Monitor system health
    and proactively identify root causes of software malfunctions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and
    support field engineers
    to resolve issues in the lab or on-site
  • Participate in
    hardware testing, firmware updates,
    and
    pilot rollouts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in
    IT, Electronics, or related technical field
  • 3–5 years of experience
    in hardware support, embedded systems, or IoT environments
  • Strong ability to
    understand and address customer needs
  • Familiarity with
    physical diagnostics
    (signal, wiring, connectivity, sensor behavior)
  • Basic networking knowledge
    (TCP/IP, UDP, connectivity checks, port/connection testing)
  • Experience with
    network analysis tools
    (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump) and basic connection testing tools (telnet, ssh)
  • Ability to
    extract, manipulate, and analyze log data
  • Good knowledge of SQL
    and relational databases, including
    basic administration tasks
    (backups, restores, indexing, user permissions)
  • Strong communication skills
    in Greek and English (written and verbal)
  • Comfortable working across
    cross-functional teams

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in smart city, IoT, or embedded device deployment
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools, firmware flashing, system administration
  • Basic scripting experience (e.g. Bash or Python)
