About The Role
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Project Support Assistant & Driver to support both field missions and academy operations. This hybrid role involves driving to mission sites, organising logistics and setup for events or outreach programs, assisting in administrative and program tasks, maintaining participant registrations, and serving as front desk support at the academy during non-mission periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving & Field Logistics
- Safely transport staff, equipment, and materials to and from mission sites or events.
- Plan travel routes, ensure timely departures, and adjust plans according to road or weather conditions.
- Load, transport, and unload supplies and equipment needed for missions.
- Conduct regular vehicle checks and ensure cleanliness and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate mileage logs and fuel usage records.
- Ability to drive a van
- Mission/Event Setup & Support
- Coordinate setup and takedown of outreach on mission sites
- Ensure materials (registration forms, teaching aids, tools, etc.) are available and organized.
- Support facilitators during programs with logistics and on-ground needs.
- Conduct door to door outreach to beneficiaries
- Set appointments with beneficiaries for employability sessions at site
- Coordinate Communication with the Community channels
- Serve as point of contact for logistical troubleshooting on-site.
- Reception & Academy Support (non-mission time)
- Act as the front desk receptionist — greeting visitors, handling inquiries, and directing them appropriately.
- Answer phones and respond to emails in a professional manner.
- Maintain front office appearance and ensure the reception area is welcoming.
- Support general office management tasks as needed (e.g., filing, supplies inventory).
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Public Administration, Community Development, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience in logistics, administration, or field support roles will also be considered.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience driving long distances or to rural/remote locations.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, email).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent in Greek and Basic English
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Professional and friendly demeanor, especially when engaging with the public.
Great to Have
- Experience using applicant tracking systems, Google Workspace, Slack, and LinkedIn.
- Familiarity with the non-profit sector and a strong alignment with Odyssea's mission and values.
- Previous experience in logistics, events or program coordination
- Experience in customer service or reception roles
