We're hiring on behalf of a family-owned shipping company with over 20 years of experience in international marine transportation.The company operates a fleet of around 10 oil and petroleum product tankers, with headquarters in Athens and a representative office in Dubai.

To strengthen their financial department, the company is seeking a
Financial Analyst

  • a hands-on professional skilled in financial modeling, performance analysis, and management reporting to support strategic and operational decision-making.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and investment evaluation.
  • Conduct variance and sensitivity analyses, identifying performance trends and improvement areas.
  • Support fleet management and investment decisions through scenario-based financial modeling.
  • Prepare and present monthly and quarterly management reports to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with accounting and operations teams to ensure financial data accuracy and alignment.
  • Perform cost structure and revenue analysis to optimize financial performance.
  • Prepare ad-hoc analyses and business cases for strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute to process improvement and automation projects within the finance function.

What You'll Bring

  • 4+ years of professional experience in financial analysis, controlling, or strategic finance.
  • Proven expertise in financial modeling and advanced Excel proficiency (VBA or Power Query a plus).
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience in shipping or logistics sectors is a strong advantage, but not mandatory.
  • Excellent understanding of management reporting, cost control, and forecasting.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Fluency in English (working language in the company).
  • Proactive, organized, and comfortable working both independently and cross-functionally.
