Role Description

This is a
full-time, on-site role
for a
Head of Trading
based in Athens. The Head of Trading will lead and oversee all trading activities with a focus on
Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
, developing and implementing
trading strategies
for energy storage assets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing
    market trading strategies
    specifically for BESS in electricity markets.
  • Managing day-to-day
    trading operations
    and portfolio optimization.
  • Conducting
    financial and market analysis
    to identify opportunities and manage risk.
  • Implementing
    hedging strategies
    to optimize performance and mitigate exposure.
  • Monitoring
    market trends, prices, and regulatory developments
    affecting energy storage.
  • Ensuring
    compliance
    with all relevant regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to maximize the
    commercial value of storage assets
    .

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the energy sector
    , preferably with direct exposure to
    electricity markets and energy storage trading
    .
  • Proven experience in
    developing and implementing trading strategies
    and managing
    trading operations
    .
  • Strong
    analytical skills
    for market, data, and financial analysis to support decision-making.
  • Excellent
    written and verbal communication skills
    .
  • Ability to
    work independently
    and lead a team.
  • Bachelor's degree
    in Finance, Economics, Business, Energy Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of
    energy market mechanics, regulations, and BESS operations
    .
