Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this Automation Sales Engineer role are:

  • Conduct regular customer visits to promote and sell automation products and solutions.
  • Identify and build relationships with new customers aligned with business strategy.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term professional relationships with clients and suppliers.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and technical-commercial offers.
  • Negotiate sales terms and finalize contracts.
  • Provide pre-sales consultations, training, and occasional post-sales support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on quotes, project execution, and new customer acquisition strategies.
  • Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Business Unit Manager and contribute to sales planning and reporting.

Qualifications

The qualifications of this Automation Sales Engineer role are:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Automation, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or related field).
  • Postgraduate degree will be considered an asset.
  • Technical understanding of PLCs, Drives, HMI, SCADA, Servo systems, Robotics.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in technical sales or a similar role within the automation industry.
  • Computer literacy: MS Office, ERP/CRM systems.
  • Fluency in Greek and English (spoken and written), including technical terminology.
  • Valid category B driving license.
  • Willingness to travel within Greece and occasionally abroad.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years in a similar role

  • Negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Team player with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
  • High sense of responsibility, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and manage client relationships effectively.
