Investment Operations

Role Purpose:

The Investment Operations role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing, reconciliation, and settlement of trades across multiple asset classes, as well as the preparation and delivery of internal and external reporting. The role supports front office activity and helps ensure the integrity of operational data and workflows across the firm.

Key Outcomes / Responsibilities:

· Trade Support & Settlement

o Confirm and process trades across asset classes (equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX, etc.).

o Monitor and resolve trade breaks and settlement issues with counterparties.

· Position, P&L and Dividends Reconciliation and NAV Support

o Daily reconciliation of cash balances, positions, P&L and dividends with fund administrators and prime brokers.

o Independently calculate daily NAVs.

o Investigate and resolve discrepancies.

· End-of-month P&L reporting

o Produce end-of-month P&L reports with breakdowns per strategy/asset class.

o Able to articulate investment insights related to primary drivers of portfolio performance.

· Risk & Compliance Support

o Assist in monitoring exposure, limits, and compliance with investment guidelines.

o Contribute to regulatory reporting.

· Process Improvement & Automation

o Help streamline operational workflows through automation and system enhancements.

Qualifications/experience:

· Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related quantitative field. Advanced degrees (e.g., Master's, CFA, CAIA) are a plus but not required.

· 5–15 years of relevant experience in investment operations, middle office, or fund administration. Prior experience at a hedge fund, asset manager, investment bank, or fund administrator preferred.

· Exposure to multiple asset classes (e.g., equities, fixed income, FX, listed derivatives).

· Hands-on experience with trade lifecycle management, including settlement, reconciliation, and corporate actions. Experience with NAV production support and fund accounting processes is desirable.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas and pivot tables; experience with SQL is a plus.

· Familiarity with Matlab or any object-oriented coding language are a plus but not a prerequisite.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a time-sensitive environment.

· Ability to work in a small team, agile environment with a high degree of self-organisation.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with front office, brokers, custodians, and fund administrators.

· A proactive mindset with a focus on problem solving and process improvement.
