HR Manager – European Expansion

An exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing global research and consulting platform as it launches its first European hub in Athens. This is a newly created role for an experienced and entrepreneurial HR professional to lead local operations and drive fast-paced growth from the ground up.

About the Role:

You'll be the first HR presence on the ground, responsible for shaping culture, scaling the team, and building the foundations for long-term success. This role suits someone who thrives in a start-up environment, enjoys working at speed, and can balance hands-on execution with strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment and build a strong talent pipeline across multiple functions.
  • Scale the Athens office rapidly in its first year, supporting wider European growth.
  • Establish core HR processes (contracts, payroll, benefits, compliance, onboarding).
  • Partner closely with global leadership to align strategy and operations.
  • Foster a high-performance culture that attracts and retains top talent.

About You:

  • 8–15 years' experience in HR with a strong focus on recruitment and scaling teams.
  • Proven experience building teams or offices from scratch in fast-paced environments.
  • Solid knowledge of Greek labour law and European HR compliance.
  • Fluent in English and Greek; additional languages are a plus.
  • Hands-on, agile, and adaptable, with a passion for growth and impact.
