Your tasks:

• Responsible for the execution of the Marine Under­writing strategy within the relevant geographical area
• Execute and maintain under­writing gover­nance, guidelines and technical audits worldwide
• Responsible for remaining referral under­writing and strategy deviations for the relevant area, monitoring and analysing amounts / reasons
• Oversee and execute local portfolio steering
• Promote collabo­ration in the home office and between the home office, local entities and other functions
• Support upskilling of under­writing staff

Your profile:

• Completed training in insurance and finance and further training as an insurance specialist or completed studies with a focus on business adminis­tration or law
• Experience in under­writing in marine insurance, especially industrial risks, is desirable
• Strong communication skills in conducting talks and negotiations
• Fluent in written and spoken English, other foreign languages are welcome
• Willingness to travel within and outside Europe

Please note: This position is based at our head­quarters in Hanover, Germany. We are looking for candidates who are open to relocating.
