Financial Profitability Reporting Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the preparation of the Group's Consolidated Financial, Profitability, and Business Results in alignment with Value-Based Management (VBM) principles.
  • Deliver actionable insights into profitability performance by preparing relevant KPIs, analyzing variances across reporting periods, presenting findings, and providing recommendations to improve profitability.
  • Categorize all costs from both IFRS and management reporting perspectives, identifying and reconciling differences in accounting treatments (e.g., capitalized vs. expensed, timing of recognition). Perform in-depth analysis of operating costs.
  • Review accounting data to ensure accuracy of results, compliance with IFRS and internal policies, and escalate issues where necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with business units and entities across the Group to ensure consistent, cohesive, and accurate financial and management reporting.
  • Evaluate business needs and highlight areas of risk and improvement, including opportunities for reporting enhancements, automation, and process streamlining (e.g., reconciliation procedures).

Candidate profile:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in financial and management reporting, as well as in financial and business analysis.
  • Holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, ideally complemented by postgraduate studies (e.g., MSc, MBA).
  • Demonstrates solid knowledge of Profitability Analysis and is familiar with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Has working knowledge of key systems such as Altamira, Midland, SAP, Oracle, Power BI, and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
  • Is proficient in the MS Office suite, with advanced skills in Excel and Power BI.
  • Possesses strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Has a firm understanding of accounting principles, cost categorization, and performance measurement.
  • Is fluent in both English and Greek, written and spoken.
  • Brings strong interpersonal and communication skills, a collaborative mindset, adaptability, and a can-do attitude.
