ABOUT THE COMPANY

RECOM is committed to uphold and continue to build its solid reputation as it works to expand its global footprint in support of climate goals. To help support its strong growth, RECOM is currently seeking to recruit an Accounting Controller, to join its Accounting & Finance team in Athens branch office.

The successful candidate will be reporting to the CFO, liaising with internal teams, departments and external stakeholders to ensure proactive payment collection and supplier payment management; thereby optimizing the cash flow for the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Day to day supervision of the operations, ensuring the teams run efficiently.
  • Developing AR and AP dashboard.
  • Establishing review processes within the teams and implementing changes where appropriate to ensure efficiency.
  • Preparing, maintaining, balancing and analyzing financial data related to AP/AR
  • Ensuring AR collection in a timely manner, management of aged debt and limit the company's exposure to bad debt.
  • Assist in the financial planning with the help of cash forecasting.
  • Ensuring all negotiated vendor payments are paid in accordance with the contracts.
  • Acting as point of contact internally regarding AP/AR issues, processes, policies and procedures.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5 years' relevant working experience, preferably in a fast-paced corporate environment.
  • Strong accounting background with solid understanding of accounting principles, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Experience with preparing financial statements, general ledger functions and inventory management.
  • Significant technology aptitude and demonstrated competence in MS Office and in one of the commonly used accounting ERP systems.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills in English.
