We strive to provide the best customer experience for our beloved pets and their parents and we are currently looking for a Category Specialist to join our Pawsome Commercial Team.

Your Role as a Category Specialist

In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the food category team. By understanding the needs of pets and conducting market research, you will help manage stock levels, orders, and supplier relationships to ensure that the best products are selected to fit our beloved pets' needs. Your strong organizational and analytical skills, curiosity to learn and passion for pets will be key to succeed in this role

Key Responsibilities

  • Stock Monitoring & Order Preparation/Management: Monitor and ensure stock availability through issuing and managing purchase orders to suppliers, ensuring accuracy of product codes, quantities, and pricing.

  • Inventory Monitoring: Daily tracking of stock levels to identify and prevent stockouts and overstock situations.

  • Supplier Communication: Daily liaison with suppliers to follow up on pending orders and confirm delivery timelines.

  • Delivery Coordination: Confirming delivery schedules and coordinating with internal teams (Logistics, Warehouse) on expected arrivals.

  • KPI Tracking: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), with a focus on product availability and supplier service levels.

  • Problem Solving: Actively resolve issues related to orders, deliveries, or discrepancies (e.g., delays, short shipments).

  • Department Support: Assist the Category Manager with data analysis and maintaining product/supplier data in the ERP.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Logistics & Sales Channels to ensure a smooth flow of information and goods.

  • Handle quality issues emails (from channels)

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of proven experience in a similar position (e.g., Procurement, Supply Chain, or Category Assistant).

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Business Central, SAP, or similar).

  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel.

  • Data-driven mindset, comfortable working with data and numbers.
