Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented Category Management Associate to provide essential support to our Category Managers. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy of our product data and driving the execution of strategic category initiatives. What you 'll do

• You will be the vital link between category strategy and daily execution, focusing on data integrity, operational support, and performance reporting.
• Generate and Distribute timely and accurate reports on category performance, including sales data, market trends, and competitor activity.
• Assist in the preparation of high-quality presentations and documentation for internal meetings and vendor reviews.
• Ensure all reporting is accurate, timely, and easy to understand for the Category Management team.
• Take ownership of master data accuracy for the product category within company systems (e.g., ERP, PIM).
• Manage the setup of new products and suppliers, ensuring all information (item codes, descriptions, pricing, supplier details) is entered correctly.
• Perform regular audits of master data to identify and correct any inconsistencies or errors.
• Provide reliable administrative and analytical support to the Category Managers to help them achieve sales and profit targets.
• Assist in day-to-day category operations, including responding to supplier inquiries and coordinating with internal departments (e.g., Marketing, Supply Chain).
• Gather necessary data and background information to prepare for critical vendor negotiations.
• Track project timelines and deliverables for category initiatives (like new product launches or promotional campaigns) to ensure deadlines are met.

Qualifications

• Experience in an analytical, administrative, or operational support role, preferably within a retail, purchasing, or consumer goods environment.
• Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data visualization) and strong analytical skills.
• Impeccable attention to detail and a dedication to data accuracy—this is non-negotiable for Master Data.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
• Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or PIM (Product Information Management) systems is a significant advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.
