Role description

We are looking for an  IoT solutions technical project manager responsible for leading complex, end-to-end IoT projects, which involves overseeing project planning, timelines, and resources. 

Key duties include collaborating with cross-functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Product, and QA) and stakeholders; managing customer expectations; resolving technical and operational issues; and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and in accordance with design specifications

This role requires strong technical understanding and leadership, with a focus on delivering integrated solutions involving hardware, firmware, cloud platforms, and applications. 

Core responsibilities

Lead and manage diverse IoT projects from concept to completion, ensuring they align with business objectives and are delivered on time and within budget.

Manage the technical aspects of projects involving hardware, firmware, cloud platforms, and mobile/web applications.

Act as the primary point of contact, managing communication with internal teams, external vendors, and customers. This includes gathering requirements, providing status updates, and resolving escalations.

Develop detailed project plans, timelines, resource allocation strategies, and risk mitigation plans. Track progress and provide regular reports to leadership.

Work closely with commercial, engineering, product, and QA teams to translate customer needs into technical requirements and ensure seamless integration.

Proactively identify, mitigate, and resolve technical and operational issues to keep projects on schedule.

Ensure projects adhere to security, scalability, and compliance best practices throughout the solution lifecycle.

Implement and enforce project management methodologies, such as Agile/Scrum, and facilitate relevant ceremonies.

Develop and manage project budgets, including tracking expenditures and operational costs.

Key skills and qualifications

BSc in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent

Substantial hands-on experience in managing technical projects, with a specific focus on IoT, BMS and cloud applications.

Strong understanding of IoT protocols, hardware, software development, cloud platforms, BMS, PLC and LPWAN technologies.

Proficiency in project management principles, including scope, budget, risk management, and Agile methodologies.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively bridge the gap between technical teams and stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex technical and operational challenges.

Ability to lead and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
