Junior Mechanical Engineer

GDM Assets, a fast-growing construction and real estate development company, is seeking a detail-oriented
Mechanical Engineer
to join our
Tenders & Proposals team
in Athens. This is a great opportunity for engineering professionals to gain hands-on experience in the design, construction, and maintenance of both public and private/investment projects, and actively contribute to the development of a growing construction company. In this role, you will contribute to the preparation of well-structured and competitive bids by reviewing project requirements, estimating mechanical systems, and ensuring technical accuracy. Day-to-day tasks include preparing quotations, conducting procurement activities, and performing analytical evaluations. Collaboration with senior engineers, procurement, and project teams will be key to delivering high-quality proposals that reflect company's standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project specifications, mechanical drawings and client requirements for tender packages
• Analyze BoQs, technical drawings and documents to ensure consistency and completeness of proposals
• Prepare detailed cost estimations for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and piping systems
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to collect and assess quotations
• Compile and structure technical and financial offers in line with tender guidelines
• Contribute to risk assessments and value engineering exercises during bid preparation
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth handover of successful bids to the execution phase
• Maintain and update internal cost libraries, supplier databases, and project data

Required Qualifications:

• BSc in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (AEI/TEI) or equivalent
• 0-2 years of relevant professional experience
• General knowledge of mechanical systems in construction projects
• Fluency in Greek, both written and spoken
• Excellent command of English
• Strong knowledge of MS Office and CAD software
• Familiarity with HVAC systems (design and/or construction)
• Strong organizational, analytical and numerical skills
• Attention to detail and a proactive attitude
• Ability to manage workload and meet strict deadlines
