As part of our high-caliber Strategy team the role is based in Athens, you will lead complex, cross-functional programs that deliver measurable impact and accelerate innovation across multiple markets. Role

The
Strategic Initiatives Lead (E2E)
is a senior project leader who will elevate end to end our strategic initiatives by ensuring complex, cross-functional projects are executed on time, within scope, and on budget, with a focus on delivering measurable results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Initiative Leadership
    : Define project scope, objectives, milestones, and success metrics to drive strategic outcomes.
  • Project Management Excellence
    : Lead planning, execution, and delivery of projects from conception to completion.
  • Collaboration Across Functions
    : Coordinate cross-functional teams comprising IT, operations, and external partners across multiple countries and business units.
  • Risk Management
    : Proactively identify and manage risks, dependencies, and impacts of changes in scope.
  • Alignment with Corporate Strategy
    : Ensure initiatives align with organizational strategic goals and transformation roadmaps.
  • Governance Engagement
    : Prepare and present project updates to senior leadership and governance bodies.
  • Agile Methodology Promotion
    : Advocate for agile and structured delivery methodologies across the organization.

Accountabilities

  • Comprehensive management of strategic initiatives from start to finish
  • Co-leadership in making critical decisions that affect project scope timing & budget
  • Effective Stakeholder engagement and alignment across functions and geographies
  • Proactive management of Risks and issues , with a focus on escalation, and resolution
  • Continuous Monitoring and reporting on project progress, budget, and impact
  • Commitment to ongoing improvement of project delivery processes

Collaboration & Organizational Model

  • Engage closely with local country functions and business co-owners of the initiative as well as with Group functions (IT, Finance, HR, Business Development)
  • Operate within a horizontal "agile" team structure under the Group Chief Strategy Officer, with no additional layers
  • Lead sizeable project teams (5-10 professionals on average , with possibilities for larger teams ), often with international and cross-functional members

Professional Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimun of 5+ years in project/program management (financial services or consulting sectors )
  • Proven ability of successfully leading  large-scale, multi-stakeholder initiatives
  • Agile certification preferred

Core Competencies & Knowledge

  • Exceptional organizational and execution skills, with strong focus on outcomes
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid).
  • Fluency in English (Spanish or Italian is a plus).

Preferential requirements

  • Experience with transformation programs
  • A curiosity and passion for digital initiatives, particular in AI
  • interest in operational excellence
  • Familiarity with business case development, integrating  both top down l ideation and bottom-up validation
