Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Consultant to join a fast-growing Data Analytics practice supporting clients in the banking and financial services sector. This role will give you the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile projects, providing analytical solutions that help shape transformation across leading institutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery & Solution Design: Gather business requirements, define specifications, and design tailored data solutions for banking clients.
  • Data Engineering & Analytics: Apply data engineering and ETL tools to extract, cleanse, integrate, and analyse large, complex datasets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with SMEs, technology, and business teams to deliver solutions aligned to client objectives.
  • Technical Support: Assist IT teams in testing and implementing analytics solutions, ensuring smooth delivery.
  • Problem-Solving & Advisory: Provide insights and recommendations to risk, finance, and operations teams based on data analysis.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who not only has strong data analytics skills but can also understand the financial data, and has an inquisitive mindset around finance information and processes. Therefore the successful applicant must have worked within a finance capacity previously.

Essential Requirements:

  • 4–7 years' experience in banking, consulting, or data analytics - Essential
  • Strong experience in data analysis & requirement gathering - Essential
  • Hands-on expertise in SQL, Python, Power BI, ETL processes (e.g., Data360) – essential
  • Strong communication skills to present findings to non-technical stakeholders - essential
  • Understanding of financial markets and trade data - essential

Preferred Experience:

  • Exposure to banking products such as derivatives, loans, collateral, or treasury.
  • Familiarity with front-to-back product life cycles and banking operations.
  • Experience delivering data solutions in risk, finance, or regulatory functions.
