Senior Category Manager

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Senior Category Manager to join our team. In this role, you will lead the strategic development and management of specific product categories, driving growth and enhancing customer satisfaction. Your contributions will play a vital part in optimizing our assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Retail Category Management:
  
   

  • Negotiate and finalize service agreements with suppliers, encompassing product listings, planograms, fixtures (e.g., refrigeration units), and promotional activities.
    
     

  • Oversee the implementation of these agreements across approximately 500 retail outlets, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.
    
     

  • Collaborate with suppliers to develop and execute advertising and promotional campaigns that drive category performance.
    
     

• Wholesale Category Management:
  
   

  • Establish and maintain supplier relationships, negotiating terms and conditions that align with company objectives.
    
     

  • Coordinate with Finance and Operations teams to ensure seamless integration of supplier agreements into the broader business framework
    
     

• Assortment Strategy:
  
   

  • Define and manage the product assortment for assigned categories, making data-driven decisions to optimize the product mix.
    
     

  • Monitor market trends and consumer behavior to adjust assortment strategies proactively.
    
     

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  
   

  • Work closely with internal departments, including Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Operations, to align category strategies with overall business goals.

  • Lead and mentor a team of category managers and analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  
   

• Proven experience as a Category Manager or in a similar role, with a track record of developing and implementing successful category strategies.
  
   

• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in market research and data analysis techniques.
  
   

• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  
   

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and collaborating across all organizational levels.
