Coasters Chartering Manager

Key responsibilities:


• Produce rate indications across origin-destination routes


• Cover internal positions at competitive voyage rates


• Negotiate and finalize recaps and charter party terms


• Monitor market trends, freight rates, and port conditions, brief traders and management


• Assist operations with minor claims and post fixture emergencies

Candidate profile:


• Minimum 5 years of chartering experience within a trading house, owner, operator, or brokerage (coasters preferred).


• Proven track record fixing coasters in the European, Mediterranean, or Black Sea markets.


• Established network of owners, operators, and brokers active in short sea trades.


• Strong commercial judgement, clear communication, and disciplined follow up.


• Knowledge of fertilizers is a plus.


• Self-driven, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
