The Role:

We are seeking a
reliable, detail-driven Accountant
to oversee the day-to-day accounting, tax, payroll, and statutory compliance of our Greek entity. This role also supports
financial planning, reporting, and cross-border collaboration
with our UK finance structure.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate accounting records in
    Soft1 ERP
  • Process sales invoices and manage accounts payable/receivable
  • Prepare and submit VAT, WHT, EFKA, and MyData reconciliations
  • Manage monthly closings
    , bank reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Ensure compliance with
    Greek tax, employment, and statutory regulations
  • Handle full payroll cycle
    (salary calculations, ERGANI & EFKA filings, vacation tracking)
  • Prepare and submit
    corporate tax returns (N & E3)
    and annual financial statements (ΓΕΜΗ)
  • Liaise with
    auditors, tax advisors, and authorities
    as required

Financial Reporting

  • Produce monthly
    P&L statements, cash flow reports, and GP tracking
  • Support joint reconciliations
    with the UK finance team
  • Assist with
    credit control and invoice follow-ups
  • Help ensure consistency between Greek and UK financial reporting

Requirements:

  • Degree in
    Accounting, Finance, or Economics (ΑΕΙ/ΤΕΙ)
  • Certified Accountant
    in Greece (Class B or A license – ΟΕΕ)
  • Minimum
    3 years' experience
    in Greek corporate accounting or accounting firms
  • Strong knowledge of
    Greek GAAP, VAT, MyData, payroll, and statutory obligations
  • Hands-on experience with payroll submissions (ERGANI, EFKA)
  • Proficiency in Soft1 ERP
    (or similar systems)
  • Ability to work independently and communicate with tax authorities
  • Fluent in
    Greek & English
    with professional communication skills
  • Strong
    attention to detail, accuracy, and deadline management

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in a
    multinational or recruitment/contracting environment
  • Exposure to cross-border (UK–Greece) finance operations
  • Interest in expanding into a broader finance leadership role
