About the job

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Supporting the day-to-day accounting operations in accordance with Greek GAAP and internal procedures
  • Performing accurate data entry of accounting transactions and maintaining organized financial records
  • Assisting in the preparation and submission of VAT and other tax declarations
  • Participating in the monthly and annual closing processes by preparing reconciliations and supporting documentation
  • Handling supplier and customer invoices, ensuring timely processing and filing
  • Supporting the implementation and use of the company's ERP system and MyData platform
  • Collaborating with external accountants and auditors by providing necessary documentation
  • Any other task that may be required from time to time
  • Collaborate closely with the accounting team and contribute ideas and initiatives for continuous process improvements and automation

Qualifications

To be an ideal candidate for the accountant position, you should possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Auditing/Accounting/Finance/Economics
  • Fluent in English language (written and spoken)
  • Good Knowledge of the ERP system (Softone knowledge will be considered a plus)
  • Good knowledge of the local and international financial and accounting standards
  • Good knowledge of the tax legislation and other applicable legislation
  • Experience in international environment is an advantage
  • Organizational & time management skills
