Payment Systems Configuration Specialist

As a Payments Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for the configuration and maintenance of critical payment platforms. This involves ensuring accurate system parameterization, timely upgrades, patches, and successful integrations.
Collaboration with vendors is crucial in this role to guarantee ongoing system support, effective project execution, and compliance with regulatory and technical standards.
Day-to-day support includes troubleshooting, issue resolution or escalation, and thorough documentation to meet service level agreements (SLAs). Additionally, you will support project activities by working closely with IT and business units to design, implement, integrate, and test changes related to payment systems.
Essential Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. At least two years of experience in application support or administration roles, preferably within the banking sector, is also required. Basic knowledge of Linux and SQL is essential for effective system support and troubleshooting. Experience with system integration in complex IT environments is also highly valued. Strong communication and collaboration skills are necessary to work effectively with both internal teams and external vendors. A business-oriented and functional mindset, focused on delivering practical, value-driven solutions, is also desirable. Fluency in English is mandatory, while knowledge of Greek is an added advantage. It would be beneficial if you have developer skills, although not a requirement. Familiarity with international payment ecosystems, including SWIFT, SEPA, and TIPS payment systems and formats, is also an asset.
