Embedded systems require a unique blend of software and hardware expertise. At Prisma Electronics, we are seeking an accomplished Embedded Software Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, with experience in designing and implementing software for embedded devices and systems. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering is also required.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop system software, taking into account performance, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with the hardware design and development team to ensure seamless integration.
  • Develop and maintain software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review processes.
  • Analyze and optimize I/O performance, stability, and scalability of system resources.
  • Support post-production activities and provide documentation and writing services.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets.
  • Strong programming skills in C or C++.
  • Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review.
  • Excellent knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces, and hardware subsystems.
  • Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
