As a Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of occupational health and safety measures, monitoring the safety of installations and technical means, and supervising the execution of fire and alarm drills.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety plans, including risk assessments, emergency response procedures, and regular audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain safe working environments, identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, analyzing root causes and proposing measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including employees, management, and regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.

A strong educational background in Mining Engineering or Mineral Resources Engineering is essential, as well as a minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant health and safety position. Proficiency in MS Office suite applications and knowledge of Health & Safety legislation are also required.
