Safety Engineer

Our company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Engineer to join our team in Greece. As a key member of our health and safety team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of our installations and technical means before operation.

  • Acting as the registered Safety Engineer, holding all responsibilities coming from relevant laws and regulations.
  • Monitors the safety of installations and technical means before their operation, as well as production processes and working methods prior to implementation.
  • Supervises the implementation of occupational health and safety and accident prevention measures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspects work positions in view of health and safety at work, reports any omission on metrics, proposes measures to deal with it, and supervises their implementation.
  • Ensures the proper use of personal protective equipment, assists in selecting appropriate equipment, and monitors its effectiveness.
  • Supervises the execution of fire and alarm drills and exercises to ensure accidents preparedness.

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mining Engineering or Mineral Resources Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant or similar health and safety position in the industry.
  • Excellent command of English and Greek language (oral and written communication).
