Job Title: Senior Geotechnical Studies Officer

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Geotechnical Studies Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with expertise in geotechnical engineering to take on new challenges and contribute to the success of our organization.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, geotechnics, and relevant software applications. They will be responsible for preparing various types of geotechnical studies, including investigations, reports, and designs.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with internal and external partners, public bodies, and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare all types of geotechnical studies, including investigations, reports, and designs.
  • Conduct stability analyses of slopes and design temporary and permanent protection measures.
  • Design temporary and permanent support measures for underground works.
  • Study tunnels, including excavation methods, temporary protection measures, and design of permanent protection measures.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external partners, public bodies, and services.

Requirements:

">
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical specialization from a recognized university or college.
  • Master of Engineering related to the broader field of Geotechnical Engineering (desired).
  • Doctor of Engineering related to the broader field of Geotechnical and Structural Sciences (desired).
  • At least five years of relevant experience in geotechnical slope stability studies, debris flow retention works, infrastructure protection from geological instabilities, preparation of geotechnical baseline reports, and geotechnical investigation reports.
  • Experience in studies and design of all types of structures, anti-seismic design of constructions, analysis, and design of steel structures (desired).
  • Member of the Technical Chamber of Greece or equivalent professional body.
  • Knowledge of GEOSTRU, ROCKFALL, ADONIS, AEC SLOPE, PLAXIS 2D, PLAXIS 3D, ROCKPLANE, etc. (desired).
  • Good knowledge of English language.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Internet.
  • Availability in case of emergency and urgent geographical relocations.
