Here's an overview of your role:

  • Enable and enhance day-to-day operational workflows of critical applications and services in a 24x7x365 environment located in cloud and physical data centres;
  • Continuously improve infrastructure and application security to minimize potential security risks;
  • Utilize open source technologies to create fault-tolerant, scalable, and secure high-performance services and pipelines on a global scale.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 3-5 years experience building scalable production environments;
  • Experience with source code control systems, versioning, branching, and merging, configuration, build management, artifact repositories, automated build tools, automated testing frameworks, and automated deployment frameworks;
  • Strong scripting skills (BASH, PowerShell, Python, Go, Ruby etc.);
  • Extensive experience using Docker containers and container orchestration tools (preferably Kubernetes);
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Ansible, Chef, Terraform, etc.;
  • Experience in monitoring and metrics systems (Prometheus, Logstash, Grafana);
  • Programming skills in Java or .Net.
  • Familiarity with security best practices in cloud and containerized environments, including secrets management and secure image pipelines;
  • Experience implementing and maintaining security scanning tools for infrastructure and application code (e.g., Snyk, Trivy, or Clair);
  • Knowledge of network security concepts such as firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and secure network design.
Nice to Have

While not essential, having these skills would be beneficial:

  • Familiarity with database technologies (MSSQL/PostgreSQL);
  • Hands-on experience with messaging technologies like RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka configuration and troubleshooting.
