We are looking for an OS Patching and Systems Administrator to ensure the ongoing security, performance, and reliability of our IT infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and applying operating system patches across Windows and/or Linux environments, supporting system integrity, and collaborating with internal teams to drive infrastructure resilience and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and apply operating system patches and updates across all systems to ensure security and currency.
  • Monitor system performance and availability, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
  • Ensure systems comply with security policies and standards through regular audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Manage and maintain Active Directory components, including creating, troubleshooting, and maintaining Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and performing system upgrades.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, providing technical support to end-users.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, patching activities, and procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with other IT team members to support various projects and initiatives.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in system administration and patch management
  • Proficiency in Windows and\or Linux operating systems
  • Strong understanding of network protocols and security practices
  • Experience with patch management tools (e.g., WSUS, SCCM, BigFix)
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) will be preferred
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
