Metropolitan College and IEK AKMI, members of Alphabet Education, the largest Educational Group in Greece, are seeking for a highly motivated and experienced IT Systems and Infrastructures Manager to join the IT team. Reporting to the Group CTO, this role will oversee the administration of our IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring their reliability, security, and performance. This role involves managing on premise and cloud services, leading the systems engineering and network team, and collaborating with other departments to support the institution's technology needs. (The role is based on our campuses in Athens, but occasional travelling to other campuses around Greece is required too.)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the administration and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Ensuring system reliability, security, and performance.
  • Managing on premise and cloud services and infrastructure.
  • Leading and mentoring the systems engineering and network team.
  • Collaborating with other departments to understand and support their technology needs.
  • Developing and implement policies and procedures for system administration.
  • Monitoring system performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Staying updated with the latest technology trends and best practices.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in systems administration and infrastructure management, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong leadership, adaptive mindset and team management skills.
  • Proven experience in systems administration and infrastructure management.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud technologies and services.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive mindset, with a passion for identifying opportunities for innovation and driving positive change within an organization.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, CompTIA) are a plus.
