Job Overview

We seek a skilled Senior Financial Data Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team in Athens. The role involves preparing, gathering, and interpreting technical, financial, and economic data for strategic decision-making, such as investment decisions and funding needs.

The successful candidate will work closely with all levels of seniority within the Finance, Commercial, and Technical functions of Energean.

Main Responsibilities

  • Update financial models using historical data and provide forecasts based on various industry-related metrics.
  • Conduct economic analysis for existing/new oil and gas projects across our areas of operation in Greece, Israel, Italy, Egypt, Croatia (NPV, IRR, ROI).
  • Analyze financial metrics in specific projects (revenue, profitability, cost, etc.).
  • Apply sensitivity and scenario analysis to support investment decisions.
  • Assist in preparing Management, Board of Directors, or external stakeholder presentations.
  • Research industry trends and analyze economic factors such as inflation, foreign exchange, and commodity prices.
  • Support credit processes, loan monitoring, and reporting for lenders and banks.
  • Support debt-raising activities, particularly company presentations, financial modeling, due diligence, and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, accounting, banking, or advisory. Big 4 and/or Oil & Gas/Energy Industry experience is considered a plus.
  • Excellent command of English and Greek language (oral and written communication). Knowledge of Italian is favorable.
  • Computer literate and experienced with MS Office suite of applications. Excellent Excel skills.
