Junior Finance Analyst Role

Energean, an independent E&P company focused on developing resources in the Mediterranean and UK North Sea, is seeking a talented Junior Finance Analyst to join its Corporate Finance team in Athens. With operations in nine countries, the company has an excellent Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) track record.

The company's portfolio is approximately 70% gas weighted, with over 1200 MMboe 2P reserves and 2C resources. The flagship development assets include the multi-tcf Karish, Karish North, and Tanin gas fields, offshore Israel. Job Description
  • Prepare financial models using historical data and provide forecasts based on industry-related metrics.
  • Conduct economic analysis for existing/new oil and gas projects across Energean's areas of operation in Greece, Israel, Italy, Egypt, Croatia (NPV, IRR, ROI).
  • Analyze financial metrics in specific projects (revenue, profitability, cost, etc.).
  • Apply sensitivity and scenario analysis to support investment decisions.
  • Assist in preparing Management, Board of Directors, or external stakeholder presentations.
  • Research industry trends and analyze economic factors such as inflation, foreign exchange, and commodity prices.
  • Support credit processes, loan monitoring, and reporting for Lenders and Banks.
  • Support debt raising activities, particularly company presentations, financial modeling, due diligence, and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or related field.
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, accounting, banking, or advisory. Big 4 and/or Oil & Gas/Energy Industry experience is considered a plus.
  • Excellent command of the English language (oral and written communication). Knowledge of Italian is favorable.
  • Computer literate and experienced with MS Office suite applications. Excellent Excel skills.
