Compliance Expert with Financial Services Focus

We are currently looking for an experienced, highly-skilled Senior Regulatory Compliance Officer to join our established and fast-growing business.

• As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the department's successful integration of innovative technologies.

1. Provide regulatory compliance advice to management, business owners, and other stakeholders within the company.
2. Ensure the company captures and monitors all relevant legal and regulatory developments, develop regulatory compliance roadmaps, and perform trainings to involved personnel.
3. Liaise with external legal advisers and local regulatory/supervisory authorities.
4. Liaise with other internal control functions within the company, ensuring alignment and scheduling ad hoc meetings as necessary.
5. Draft and/or review the company's policies and procedures, supporting their rollout.
6. Design and monitor the implementation of the annual compliance plan and ad-hoc compliance audits to ensure internal processes and policies are applied, identifying control gaps and improvement opportunities.
7. Support and develop the company's control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies.
8. Prepare reports for the Board of Directors and company committees on compliance matters.
9. Prepare and/or coordinate the submission of regulatory reports to competent regulatory authorities.
10. Conduct regulatory compliance risk assessments.
11. Develop and maintain a formal compliance risk-and-control program, ensuring controls are put in place to mitigate, monitor, and report risk as appropriate.
12. Maintain Compliance department files, cases, and issues, achieving deadlines and documenting actions.

• University degree in Law, Banking, Business Administration, or related fields (Master's degree in European Banking/Payments regulation, Risk Management, or related fields is considered a strong plus).
• Minimum of five years of overall previous experience in a regulatory compliance, audit, or risk function and at least three years in a similar senior professional position.
• Experience working with financial services regulators is considered a strong plus.
• In-depth knowledge of financial services regulations (Greek and EU) and, particularly, banking regulations & supervision (e.g., PSD2, CRR, CRD, DORA, etc.).
• Familiarity and experience with AI tools in legal and compliance practice (e.g., AI-based legal research, contract review automation, document management platforms).
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).
• Professional certification is considered a strong plus.
