As the
H&S Engineer,
you will report to the HSE Director, and you will be responsible for the implementation of safety systems and projects with a strong focus on machinery safety. You will support the overall HSE framework of SIDENOR Group by ensuring legal compliance, reducing operational risks, and fostering a robust safety culture across all major plants.

What you will need to do:

  • Lead machinery-related safety projects (e.g.,
    LOTO
    ,
    interlock systems
    ,
    guarding
    )
  • Contribute to the standardization and continuous improvement of the
    HSE Management Systems
    across all sites
  • Monitor and follow up on the
    monthly HSE improvement plan
  • Conduct
    site inspections
    , perform risk assessments, and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented safety measures
  • Develop and deliver
    safety training programs
    tailored to the needs of industrial operations
  • Ensure compliance with
    Greek and EU legislation
    , including
    Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC
  • Collaborate with plants' H&S teams to implement corrective actions and preventive measures
  • Prepare reports and recommendations to the
    HSE Director
    based on findings from site visits and audits

What you need to possess:

  • University degree in
    Mechanical, Electrical
    or
    Automation Engineering
  • Minimum
    3 years of experience
    in industrial Health & Safety roles
  • Strong knowledge of
    machinery safety standards
    , risk assessments, and preventive maintenance
  • Experience in
    project management
    and collaboration across multi-site operations
  • Excellent knowledge of English language
  • Willingness to
    travel frequently
    to production sites in Greece, North Macedonia, and Bulgaria
