About the location:

An iconic hideaway on the glamorous Athens riviera, reborn. Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens opened in March 2019 and provides a preferred address for both business and leisure travelers, and the highly personalized, anticipatory service that Four Seasons guests expect and value around the world. The Arion Hotel was built in 1967 and has 106 keys and 61 Bungalows, and the Nafsika opened in 1980 and has 136 keys. Under the same ownership is a large private beach club and marina. Nafsika is open through the year, while Arion and the bungalows operate eight months of the year. Adding to the complement of on-site F&B operations (8 Restaurants and Bars), there are also two third party restaurants on site.

About the role:

At Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens (ranked No. 17 in the World's 50 Best Hotels), we are seeking a dedicated Junior Sous Chef to join our Kitchen Department for the Season 2026 (minimum 6 or 7 months contract). This leadership role is pivotal in overseeing kitchen operations, supervising culinary staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

What You Will Do

Plan, organize, and direct the work of kitchen employees while maintaining superior quality, consistency, and sanitation standards. Train, motivate, and supervise chefs and line staff, schedule daily operations, and communicate closely with the Executive Chef and Restaurant Chef to develop menus and ensure compliance with Four Seasons Food Standards. Inspect taste, temperature, and presentation, manage requisitions, monitor inventory, and ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment. Respond appropriately to any hotel emergency or safety situation and provide guidance to all culinary team members to maintain smooth kitchen operations.

What You Bring

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required .
  • Applicants must have European Passport or the legal right to work in Greece.
  • P revious experience in a similar supervisory culinary role is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of international c uisines , food preparation techniques, and culinary standards.
  • Ability to train, mentor, and lead kitchen staff effectively.
  • Fluency in English is essential; p roficiency in Greek is an advantage.
  • Food Service Sanitation certification is an asset.

Schedule & Hours

Summer Seasonal Job – 5 working days per week, with 2 days off.

Schedule is flexible and may change weekly according to business needs.
