What to Expect

Tesla is advancing humanoid robots for large-scale automation of repetitive tasks. We are seeking a talented thermal design engineer to join the Optimus team, with a focus on Lumped parameter thermal network modeling and design of electric motors to drive innovative robotics solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for thermal modeling of electric motors for humanoid robot actuators
  • Responsible for thermal modeling accuracy for Tesla Bot actuators, ensuring alignment with experimental data and high-fidelity simulations

What You'll Bring

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of Heat Transfer and Thermodynamics
  • Very good understanding of thermal and electrical measurements
  • Strong mathematical and physics background
  • Strong MATLAB programming skills
  • Fluency in English

The following will be considered as plus:

  • Understanding of optimization fundamentals
  • Understanding of electromagnetics and electric circuits
  • Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis
  • Power electronics and control fundamentals
  • Understanding of electrical and mechanical modeling
