Sales Manager
to lead our sales organisation through its next phase of growth.
About the Role
As Sales Manager, you will oversee the entire sales department, driving growth across wholesale, retail, e-commerce, and key accounts. You will design and execute a coherent sales strategy that maximises profitability, expands distribution, and strengthens our relationships with leading supermarkets, chain stores, kiosks, and franchise partners.
This is a high-impact role at the centre of our organisation: you will manage our sales branches (Athens and Thessaloniki), set clear targets, coach and empower our sales team, and represent the company in key negotiations and industry events.
Key Responsibilities
- Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets for the entire sales department
- Direct and manage both sales branches while optimising profitability margins
- Develop and maintain business relationships with key accounts, including supermarkets, franchise chains, and distribution partners
- Establish and execute company-wide sales strategies, broken down into bi-annual, quarterly, and monthly action plans
- Design and implement promotional offers and discounts to drive order volume and client engagement
- Ensure consistently high customer satisfaction across sales channels
- Promote Margaritis' brands, and position the company as the preferred business partner in the FMCG market
- Define commercial strategy and pricing for new launches
- Represent the company in international conferences, conventions, and client meetings
- Recruit, train, mentor, and inspire sales department, fostering a high-performance culture
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and KPI dashboards to stakeholders
- Act as the liaison between customers and internal teams ensuring the company's requirements are met
- Identify and attract prospective customers across sales channels
- Manage contracts and negotiations
- Analyse sales data and trends, and provide a corrective action plan on capturing the latest market updates
- Stay up to date on competition developments
- Establish and monitor internal budgets with the company and external budgets with clients
- P&L accountability across sales organisation
About You
- Proven experience as a Sales Manager or senior sales leader, ideally in FMCG or related industries
- Strong background in key account management and negotiation with large retail chains
- Solid track record of designing and delivering commercial strategies with measurable results
- Skilled in team leadership, performance management, and training
- Analytical mindset
- Comfortable managing P&L responsibility and budget planning
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Fluent in Greek and English
- Availability to travel domestically across branches, and occasionally abroad for business meetings and trade events
