So what's the challenge…

As a Lawyer you will be providing legal advice and consultation for the business operations of the assigned area of responsibility and handling the execution of legal actions for the avoidance of potential legal risks and the protection of OPAP Group interests.

Your day to day will include:

  • Negotiating IT related agreements including software development & licensing, SaaS, AI technologies, infrastructure, consulting and more.
  • Providing legal advice on technology related issues (licensing, open source, AI, cybersecurity, etc) by translating complex legal concepts into practical guidance.
  • Monitoring legal and technological developments that could impact OPAP and the broader industry, anticipating challenges and contributing to the ongoing development of internal processes.
  • Monitoring and following-up on all changes in the legal framework, assessing their impact for the company's business and raising awareness of internal teams.
  • Providing accurate, timely and business-oriented legal advice to internal stakeholders on a variety of legal topics relating to OPAP's business operations.
  • Identifying areas of legal risk and proposing mitigating actions.

What you need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in law (LLB) and master's degree (LLM) in IP / Technology Law
  • 5-7 years of respective experience as a lawyer within a large organization or a prominent law firm
  • Strong communication, negotiation & influencing skills
  • Creative problem solving – ability to handle complex legal issues
  • Excellent knowledge of English & Greek
