Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Athens, Greece for a Deputy Chief Engineer at Athenian Sea Carriers, Ltd. The Deputy Chief Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the engineering department, ensuring that all maintenance and repair work is completed efficiently and effectively. This includes managing the engineering team, coordinating with other departments, and adhering to safety and regulatory standards. The Deputy Chief Engineer will also be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring the vessel's machinery and equipment are in optimal working condition.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical and Electrical Engineering skills
  • Experience with Maritime Operations and Vessel Maintenance
  • Team Management and Coordination skills
  • Knowledge of Safety and Regulatory Standards
  • Problem-solving and Technical Troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations
  • Relevant certifications and licenses (e.g., Chief Engineer License)
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
