ABOUT THE ROLE
Power Factors is looking for an experienced and passionate software developer to join our group and be part of a talented colleagues building the best platform to manage Clean Energy assets in the industry. From our clients' IoTs, we are collecting millions of data points, cleaning this data, detecting occurring issues, identifying leading indicators to predict future issues, and adding a full advanced analytic capability on top of this rich, high-value dataset. In addition to issue detection and analytics, our platform adds the toolsets needed to take analytic insights into action, such as case management and work order management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Improve and evolve existing systems through thoughtful analysis and clean code practices.
- Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable software solutions using Go.
- Collaborate closely with a passionate development team to solve meaningful technical challenges in the ingestion area of our product.
- Promote software craftsmanship, continuous learning, and innovation.
- Explore and contribute to initiatives involving AI, automation, and next-generation technologies.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
- Solid experience developing production-grade applications in Go.
- Proficient with Git and comfortable working with modern development workflows.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- A growth-oriented mindset with a passion for building high-quality software.
- A genuine interest in learning and applying emerging AI technologies.
Nice to Have
- Understanding of SQL databases and message brokers (Kafka is a plus).
- Experience in Web and API development (REST/gRPC).
- Knowledge of Containers and Kubernetes.
- Enthusiasm for experimenting with LLMs, vector search, or ML pipelines.
